Theresia Intag

TREF Executive Director, 2001-Present

Theresia Intag joined TREF shortly after its inception in 2001. In a few years, Theresia has expanded the Texas YOR program to over 200 high school students. Plus, has developed a successful scholarship program through donations and grants, giving over $100,000 to Texas seniors by end of year 2005. And she has implemented a unique college internship program that allows college students to gain insight into the retail training world, develop valuable retail business relationships, and help high school students expand their opportunities.

Theresia has worked over 5 years in retail during high school and college. Her retail beginnings set the stage for a successful sales career in employment consulting, state agency internships, software training, and management. Theresia enjoys working with students, “it is wonderful to give students tools to grow, and to help them get a head start in life. I remember how hard it was to transition from high school, to college, then to a career. I think adults often do not have enough time to teach students “life skills”. I like being able to interact with students, and give them real information about applying for jobs, working at a job, customer service, and communication awareness.”

Leslie Moore

TREF Assistant Program Director, 2004-Present

Leslie Moore began working with TREF last fall. She has a background in administrative and program coordination. She worked several retail jobs during high school and college and believes strongly that customer service is the foundation to a successful business as well as a successful career in retailing.

Leslie was hired to work specifically on the TX YOR Pilot program, which utilizes a new on-line curriculum to train high school students in customer service. Her primary focus is to train teachers and administrative staff how to use the new on-line program, and to follow the progress of students’ success. To date, Leslie has trained over six school districts, overseen over 100 students in TX YOR program, and supervised 4 college interns. “Leslie has been a great asset to the success of this pilot program, and has developed strong relations with high schools / teachers throughout Texas”, states TREF Executive Director.
